2015 and beyond promise to be very exciting for our kayaking programs! The newly renovated pier in Brooklyn Bridge Park is open and a new floating dock is place, giving us easier access to the water. We're also planning a major expansion of our youth kayaking program—including creating a youth kayak polo team! Even though this is a global sport, there are so few organized kayak polo teams at this ayounger ge level in the US. Within a few seasons, we could easily start sending local Brooklyn high schoolers to national competitions. It's a thrilling endeavor!

But, we can't do it alone! With the cost of kayaks and other equipment and the time investment of qualified instructors, our kayaking programs can become costly to maintain. We're asking for your help in raising money to sustain and expand the programs we already offer.

So, if you've been down to the NYC waterfront and enjoyed these free kayaking programs—or if you just want to give a local Brooklyn kid a sense of accomplishment and lessons in teamwork—please consider making a contribution.
